"Hi, my name is Claire and I have two children, one who is 18 and one who is 15. Both of my children have additional needs.

I have been involved with FACE for the past seven years and during that time I have seen many changes within the local authority, health services, and social care.

Those changes have happened because of you – the parents. Without your voices, your experiences, and your willingness to speak up, we wouldn’t be able to make those changes.

I often picture it like a mountain. Together we are chipping away at it, little by little. Each conversation, each meeting, each parent sharing their story takes another chip away.

Eventually those small pieces begin to fall away, and that’s when we start to see real change."
